This Week’s Exciting Episode:

“Kittums”

He’s standing in front of his bathroom mirror, shaving. He scrapes the razor down his cheek a couple of times, but then he stops.

His hand hovers, wrist up, over the sink. His eyes rest on the blade and go glassy and distant.

Something catches his attention and his eyes shift focus to the floor where a petite, orange tabby cat is rubbing its cheek against his bare ankle, gently purring.

He lets loose with a bit of a smile.

“Kitty! Who’s a kitty cat who’s a kitty and a cat and a kitty cat who’s a cat and a kitty? And a kitty, who’s a kitty cat and a cat and a kitty cat! And he’s a kitty cat, who’s a kitty cat and a cat and a kitty and a kitty cat!”

Oh, but there’s a sadness behind that goofy grin.
